Xel Ha, An Eden creted
By the Mayan gods.

Legend says that the Mayan gods while combining their knowledge, dreams, purity and perfection, created a paradise where they got together the best of nature and themselves. They called it  Xel-Há. "Xel" means "spring water" in Maya, or "place where something is born", and "Há" means water, therefore Xel-Há is "the place where water is born".

The gods designated the iguana, the macaw and the parrot fish to look after the earth, the sky and the water and they were named "Xel-Há's guardians." Once created, the gods were so pleased with the place that they decided to allow the entrance to humans. During pre-Hispanic times and because of its privileged position, Xel-Há was used as a shelter port, a trade center, a peregrinations point and refuge for navigators. Beside it represented a reserve of food products in times of bad weather.

Xel-Há is the Mayan gods Eden, a paradise with an astonishing natural beauty, crystal clear and pure waters, lush jungle and richness full of life. A paradise, we proudly have the honor of enjoying, protecting and preserving.
